The Droplift Project has just been unleashed onto the unsuspecting public in 'States. For the unaware, the manifesto for the action is as follows: "Manufacture our own CDs, go into chain stores, and leave them in the appropriate bins.". This hit and run form of distribution is made necessary due to the content of the release itself which is based on "stuff we all hear on radio, TV, in the news, on other CDs and tapes, and from everywhere around us [...] cut up and rearranged to make new art, social commentary, parody, and contemporary criticism". This rather MACOS style effort can be fully downloaded via the site above including bonus tracks that did not make it onto the original disc.
